Medieval Granadella Tower and Rice-cultivation Visitor Centre: A thirteenth century square-based tower beside the eighteenth-century Saint Marc’s chapel. The buildings are now home to the local rice cooperative.
Rice-cultivation Visitor Centre in Camarles Information centre explaining the history of rice-farming in the Ebro Delta. Local visitors will recognize the traditions and lifestyle of previous generations while visitors from afar gain an insight into the incredible story of the work and effort behind cultivating the Delta.
Camarles castle: The remains of an old Muslim fortified construction which was rebuilt in the twelfth century with the circular tower we can visit today.
Routes
Cycling route from the Camarles castle tower, through the small villages Lligallo del Gànguil and Lligallo del Roig, finishing at the Granadella tower. The route offers the chance to visit the oil and rice cooperatives and enjoy a rest at the recently-constructed picnic area ‘Els Pinets’. It also partly coincides with a section of the GR-99 long distance route.
