Places of interest
A variety of sandy or shingle beaches and small coves, as well as the town tourist facilities.
Sandy beaches: The Avellanes, Cap-roig, and l’Arenal beaches stand out, and the first two currently fly the Blue Flag for quality.
Shingle and pebble beaches:Small, quiet shingle beaches include the Baconé, Capellans, l’Arquitecte, and Pinets beaches.
Coves: Cala Marina and l’Ascaret are just two of the many secluded coves to discover.
Routes
Routes recommended by the Patronat de Turisme de l’Ampolla.
Olive groves routes. Mountain bike route among carob trees and olive groves inland from the town.
Birds and rice route. A walking or cycling route in the Ebro Delta Natural Park partly coinciding with a nature route from the Bassa de les Olles lagoon to the birdwatching site at the area known as Goleró.
GR-92. Along the colourful clifftops. Following the GR-92 long distance coastal path, this route goes north from l’Ampolla to the Cala de l’Àliga beach.
Les Olles route. A cycling or walking route around La Bassa de les Olles, one of the smallest lagoons in the Ebro Delta Natural Park. Its location makes it one of the most important environmental areas in the Delta with a rich variety of fauna and flora.
