><p>A series of sheltered coves and beaches stretching for 16 km along the Mediterranean coast. Starting from the northern-most point of the town\u2019s coastline we can enjoy the Llobeta beach at the Cap de Terme cove, followed by the Calafat, Lo Ribellet, Sant Jordi, Vidre, Forn, Ampolles, Mosques, Torrent del Pi, Xelin, l&#8217;Estany Tort, Ambrosia and Arandes beaches among others. Many of them are pebble or shingle beaches. Within the town itself, we recommend trying the Pixavaques, l&#8217;Alguer and Cala Pepo beaches. To the south, beaches well worth visiting include the Bon Cap\u00f3, Bon Caponet, l&#8217;Estany, Santes Creus, Llenya, l&#8217;Estany Podrit and l&#8217;\u00c0liga beaches.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Traditional pottery museum:<\/strong> Over 6,000 pieces of traditional pottery from around the Iberian Peninsula, believed to be the largest collection of its kind in Europe.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fishing Visitor Centre: <\/strong>The Fishing Visitor Centre is located in the old fish auction hall beside the town harbour. It aims to promote tourism and fishing, the two main local economic sectors, while working to conserve the environment and the town\u2019s fishing heritage and traditions.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><br Ideal for walking, the route is 9.4 km long (one way) with elevation changes of about 120 metres.<\/p>\n<p><a
